Lords of the Fallen gets new free update with revamped combat
HEXWORKS has today announced the release of a free patch for Lords of the Fallen, introducing revamped combat, a new NPC summon, and other quality-of-life changes.
The new update, which brings the game to version 1.7 and is released later today, brings enhanced and more dynamic combat with accurate animation cancelling, improved invincibility frames, more intuitive dodges and rolls, grievous strike button prompts, and stamina recalibration.
HEXWORKS aims to make character control more dynamic and natural to lower the entry barrier for new players, while “increasing the skill ceiling for more experienced players”.
The update also adds:
- The ability to toggle automatic Vigor collection
- Quick item selector
- More realistic enemy attack ranges and tracking
- Gerlinde automatically moves to Skyrest Bridge once players reach Forsaken Fen
- Damarose is now placed closer to the Golden Path so players are more likely to encounter her
- Further balancing to New Game Plus
- The ability to beckon NPCs to help in boss battles before first encounters with tweaked stats to make them “more viable allies”
Finally, update 1.7 introduces the Hallowed Sentinel Hound as a new NPC to beckon for boss battles within the game. This latest update continues HEXWORKS’ work in improving Lords of the Fallen with the introduction of numerous quality-of-life changes and gameplay changes.
To celebrate the launch of the new update, HEXWORKS and CI Games will later today discount the Standard Edition of the game on Steam by 60% for a limited time, marking its lowest price point to date on the storefront.
